DVR Service

DVR will not record programs.  Error message is DVR service is not activated on your account

It would appear that you account was changed to a business, you have to call DTV to change it back to residential.

or you need to refresh authorizations online via directv.com/refresh

sometimes the receiver loses authorization for channels or DVR service. If this doesn't fix the issue, try deactivating the receiver and reactivating it and be the account type wasn't accidentally changed. While residential accounts can enjoy DVR service, it is against the law for businesses to record in a public environment, therefore disabling DVR service on all HD DVR receivers like the HR20 - HR24 series.

Log into your account and verify if DVR service is still showing. If it is, just refresh service authorizations. www.directv.com/refresh

However, if the needed receiver services actually dropped off then they need to be reinstated by an agent. There is also the concern that your account was migrated to a business account in error (which doesn't allow DVR service) so needs a bit more work to fix. In either of these cases, you call DirecTV.
