english speaking directv customer service

my dvr continues to delete everything. cant get an english speaking person to help. last person was yelling at me and hung up on me.

you get routed to the next available rep. You can’t request English speaking as you say

When you call you get the next available agent. No guarantee if English will be their first language, or what kind of accent they have depending where in the country they are compared to you, or if they might be outsourced from out of country.

However, in an case the agent should not be yelling at you. When you next speak with an agent you can submit feedback about the conduct of the prior agent.
