Genie receiver auto resets, powers off then powers on and restarts every couple of minutes

have had same issues since original installation.  DTV sent me a new receiver, I connected and same problem.  Called and a Tech came out and replaced the 2nd receiver and power cord with new, worked normal for an several hours then started resetting again.  changed out HDMI cable, changed RG6 cable, changed TV's. used different power outlets.  No other error codes comes on it just shuts off automatically and turn back on itself automatically then runs thru system start up @ works for a short time then resets every 2-3 minutes or so.  Tech didn't go to the dish, said shouldn't be a RG6 cable cable issue as that shouldn't auto restart the receiver.  Tried the Youtube fix of pulling the card out for 30 sec.  nothing.  Anyone, anything?

Since new receivers have not resolved the issue, this should come down to a dish issue or coax run issue. Since the technician hasn't checked this area, it is most likely the receiver doing this as a safety precaution and/or a sensing of an issue that will cause big problems.

It could be an AC power issue. Try powering the receiver using an uninterruptable power supply (UPS).

@tb59101

Thread over a year old so best to start your own with specifics of issue (symptoms, error message, etc.) and equipment you have.

In the meantime, if your box is fully restarting, check all connections especially power cord. Do not use a 'smart' power strip (does't work well with DirecTV equipment), and even try another power cord, outlet, etc. Quite a while ago my primarily used box was doing this and I discovered that my old sweet kitty had enough room to get behind and lay on the power cord causing it to lose connection intermittently as it ever so slightly pulled out.
