Genie Upgrade - Loss of picture resolution

I just upgraded to a Genie with mini 4K's.  Unfortunately, with the exception of the 4K channels, the picture is degraded on my LG OLED compared to my old Genie receiver.  I cannot understand why the newer technology capable of handling 4K cannot produce the picture of an older technology.  I've verified the 1080i, 1080P and 4K are checked on the Genie 2 for the video resolution.  However, when checking the resolution everything, and I mean everything is coming in as a 720P signal.  So, being the irritable grouch I am, I went through and toggled through the resolutions.  Now shows are running at 1080i consistently.  The last change I made was adjusting from "1080i resolution + stretch" to "1080i resolution + Original Format."  Through both actions the picture has improved, however it is still of a lesser quality than that produced by my old Genie.  Last note...All my HDMI cables are high speed and new so no issues with those.
So, any suggestions from anyone to improve picture quality?

The C61K (the only 4K model) is a Client, not a receiver. The Genie-2 (HS17) is the receiver, though unlike a traditional one doesn't go on a TV itself and instead is a Headless Server tower for the Clients (The HS17 actually forbids receivers unlike regular Genies).

In addition to what you've done, I would suggest checking the TV for any software/firmware updates. Also try rebooting the Client to see if that refreshes anything (make sure that coax is finger tight). With any red button reset, or unplugging power for a minute, doing so on the main Genie first is preferred because it is the brain that runs it all.

My TV updated this week so the software/firmware is current.  I reset the receiver and it updated.  Additionally, I've reset the clients.  The quality of the picture didn't upgrade.   All that said, I unchecked the 1080i resolution on the receiver and left the 1080P / 4K checked.  The receiver by default added a checkmark for 720P in the absence of 1080i.  Now it's sending a 720P signal exclusive of the 4K channels.  The pictures far improved.  It's nowhere near the quality of streamed television and 4K channels but at least matches the picture I received on my old receiver.  I've accomplished this action once before, but without the same result.  I suspect the updates may have helped.  Thank you much for the assistance with this.
