Hallmark channel is always have pixel issues recently.  None of my other channels are having this issue so it is not my tv.  Is there any known issues with the Hallmark channel and how do I go about fixing it.

Hello @bgunter53,

We're happy to help!

Try troubleshooting your receiver and let us know if the picture problems persist.

This is absolutely correct. Hallmark picture is frozen and distorted and no amount of troubleshooting or restarting fixes it. My mother's Hallmark channel started this on 1/8, but no other channels do it. Hallmark needs to fix this problem. This is absurd. We pay$10/month extra for Hallmark and the network allows bad picture quality on the channel.

Same here! The closed caption goes out as well. My internet speed is 940Mbps, so there’s absolutely no excuse for warping or stuttering on playback. It’s infuriating! The thing is, it only happens on my set top box tv. The other tvs with the clients are just fine. I’m suspicious that it’s because I installed that demon Gemini on the main tv. I had it taken out by an installer the next day, and it’s been horrible in that location ever since.

DTV sat doesn't use your internet. Any wireless clients are on a separate network that is setup with the WVB.

Channel 1312 uses internet. The closed captioning issue happens on 312 and 1312, however. And it only happens on the main box, not the clients-which are not wireless.

DirecTV is service by satellite, not your internet (with the exception of On Demand content which is optional). Your internet could be completely out, or never have had it, and your service would be fine.

Gemini is an advanced Client to be dual-purpose. Both a satellite TV client and can download internet streaming apps (similar to Roku, Firestick, etc.).

DirecTV doesn't send techs/installers out to remove equipment. So whether this was your own 3rd party installer, or a tech doing their own thing off the books, sounds like they may have done something wrong.

In any case this is a different issue and equipment from this thread being it is from 5 years ago (2019). Suggested to start a new thread specific to your issue and setup instead of digging up such an old one.

Have you done a red button reset on the Genie?
