What are the models of each box? Just to be sure if returnable or not.
If any are returnable:

You take returnable receivers to a UPS/FedEx store to scan them in and keep the receipt unless you are more then 10 miles from one then DTV has to FedEx a box to your service address and then you take it your post office.

Hello @tiki10
The first step, if you haven’t already, is to deactivate the equipment from your account. You can do this by using the chat option on our website. Be prepared with your receiver information. Hint: We recommend taking a picture of the label w your mobile device. This will also allow you to enlarge the print, making it easier to read.
If you have an email address on file, you will receive an email confirming the deactivation. This should also generate a second email, which will advise what equipment needs to be returned and return options. Keep in mind, sometimes you may receive an email instructing you to recycle the equipment.
@Juniper and @shannon02 are correct! The quickest and easiest way to return your DIRECTV equipment is to take your receiver and power cord to a UPS store or FedEx Office Pack and Ship store. Use the following steps complete the return:
Check out this article for additional information.

Directv is the worst. I wanted out so bad I paid the fee for early termination. I've called 3 times and wrote to them twice for them to send me boxes to return there equipment. SEND ME THE BOXES AND RETURN LABEL...... I'm not driving anywhere, you delivered the trash and you will either send me the return sullies or pick it up,

I am having nothing but problems: technical issues delays in watching TV remote doesn’t work TV goes in and out Internet is slow. Even the history of my account shows at least eight service repairs within the last 90 days this is ridiculous I want to cancel my account without penalty and go back to spectrum.

You don't set the return procedures. You use the method they have like everybody else or pay the non-return fee (NRF) accordingly. That is the reality.
However, perhaps your boxes don't have to be returned. What are the models of each one you have?

Having 8 service calls within 90 days is quite excessive, especially if all for the same issue. This is a public forum of other customers (and the occasional employee of the clock), so you could start a fresh thread about your issue and other experienced users could see if there is anything else to get things running the way they are supposed to.
Otherwise if you are just to the point of canceling, then you need to call DirecTV as they will only do that over the phone. When you get the voice system say "cancel" and it should route you to the correct department.

So where are these numbers and how can I tell if they are returnable or not? Can I just return what I have as I don't want them sitting in my living room any longer.

Model numbers are on a sticker sometimes behind the access card door, on the bottom or sides.

Model number is normally on a label behind the access card door, or on on the bottom of the box. Going into the menu and into the info page usually pulls it up on screen as well.
You can try returning them, but they will not accept outdated boxes. So don't want you making a wasteful trip.

ATTHelp said to go to chat. How? Chat is ALWAYS busy and I cannot get on.
Also following the link in ATTHelp's response it says: "Each return is different, but here's a general list of what you should send back and what you can keep. We'll also send you an email or a letter by US Mail letting you know what equipment to return." NO! I have gotten NOTHING from them! NOTHING! Today is the 20th day and this is the FIRST I have heard from anyone from ATT&T about what to do and it had to be on a forum!!! I WILL NOT pay for equipment when I have had NO help or instructions on how to return it. And do not tell me to use a worthless unusable always 'busy' chat. It it a way to MAKE people pay for equipment?

You still haven't told us the model numbers and you now have 60 days to return them due to Covid-19 and even if you return them late DTV will credit back the NRF.

This is a customer to customer forum with no access to DTV so you have to call DTV to FedEX you a box to your service address to then take it to the post office.
You have posted your info to the world so be prepared for scam calls.

If you are over 10 miles away from a participating shipper, you call DirecTV to use the old process of sending a prepaid return box. This is a public forum so we cannot do that for you.
What are the models of each box you have? Best to find out if returnable or not before you are waiting on hold (short staffing because of Covid).
