You can only reschedule an existing appointment. You have to call DirecTV and go through troubleshooting (or confirm what you've already done) as an agent must schedule the repair. This is to make sure they are not sending a tech out unneeded.

 

What is going on that you feel you need to schedule a tech? Perhaps other users here could help.

I have been on hold for 2 hours. I need to schedule someone to come fix my internet. How do I get that done? Iwas talking to someone for 2 hours and we were disconnected he was trying to set up an appointment.

I was disconnected while talking to a service rep who was in the process of scheduling a service appointment. I had been on hold for over 2 hours. How do you schedule an appointment?

The service rep already knew I needed someone because my box is not connecting to the antenna outside.

DTV has nothing to do with your internet, you need to contact your ISP.

You have to call to setup a tech visit. Until you get an email conformation there is no visit scheduled.

This is a public forum of other customers, specifically the DirecTV section which is not internet. To setup a repair appointment you call customer support.

 

Though confused by your mention of your "antenna outside". If you have satellite internet, then that is through another ISP (Hughesnet, ViaSat/Wildblue) as AT&T should be a hardline internet. If it is mobile internet through your phone, then they don't send a tech to you but open a ticket with their engineers if they need to check a local tower.

We have a helpful self-care tool you can use to reschedule or cancel your appointment online Follow the path for: Common Topics > Check My Repair Status 

 

You can also opt your mobile number in to receive text alerts to confirm/reschedule/cancel your appointment via text. Text the word "APPT" to the # 21880 on the mobile phone related the account with the appointment. This should opt you in and then will allow you the option to reschedule.

 

Lastly, you can also reschedule the appointment through the automated system at 800.288.2020, by letting the system know you would like to reschedule and providing the account information.
