What is the receiver model? Modern HD directv receivers have an HDMI connection so you’d need to use an HDMI cable that goes from the directv hdmi out port into the TV’s HDMI input. Whichever HDMI input you plug in on the TV is the source that the TV is turned to (i.e. if you plug the HDMI cable into the TV’s HDMI1 port, switch the TV input to HDMI1).

The same way as your prior TV, unless there was something very strange or old about it.
Plug HDMI cord from DirecTV box to TV.
Change TV (with the Hisense TV remote) to correct input (HDMI-1, HDMI-2, etc.).
Go into the menu for instructions on programming your remote to your TV set.
