How to tell HR44 not to record on 4K channels

I've had this happen a few times. I have a number of sports teams set up (My Teams) to record all of their games. If a game happens to get assigned to a 4K channel (e.g., 105 or 106), my HR44 marks that for recording instead of the lower resolution channel it is on (e.g. 219 FS1HD).

The problem? I don't have a 4K TV, so if it records there, I can't watch it.

Is there a way to say "don't do that?" I've fished around and haven't found anything.

Thanks in advance!

It's a known problem. Occurs when the program on 4K is from the same source as the non-4K one you really want to record. I know Directv is working on a fix for this.

Use the guide to set them up.

What exactly do I do in the guide?

You find the program on the channel date and time you want then press record once to just record that one episode or twice to record the series.

As  Shannon said - use the Guide to set up the recording, do NOT use the search  function.
also if you have this program listed in your series manager you need to delete it from the series manager list first - or it may still record the wrong channel

Ugh. That essentially defeats the feature of being able to identify teams and having it record games without having to go in and find each game individually.

Understand your frustration have the same issues with college BB.
I don’t have 4k enabled so I don’t have that exact issue  - As I understoood it an account needs to be 4k authorized to enable those channels -  if you don’t have a 4K client or tv - Perhaps you can get it removed/unauthorized

Perhaps someone else in the forum knows more and can help

Yup, it's college BB where I run into this most. Games can be on a half dozen different networks and being able to just say "record this team" is so helpful.

If there is no easy solution, I'll just leave it. It's easier to just look for the occasional 4K assignment than to have to record each individually.
