HR20 wants to be re-activated
Upgraded LNB to SWM 3D2RBLNBR0-14
I have two HR24 receivers which are working fine after the upgrade.
Why is my HR20 asking to be re-activated ?

Suggest you call 1-800-531-5000 and have them refresh the receiver or re-activate (which is different than a refresh) --I assume you have rerun the sat on HR20 since you replaced the LNB

@DRM929 also, is it error code 711, 722, or 726? Have you tried a refresh of that HR20 online at directv.com/refresh?

It's a HR20-700
No error codes, and the signal strength is very strong on all satellites
The website is not working right, I have been trying to refresh the receiver everyday for about a week now.

@DRM929 where does it say that you need to activate the receiver then? Without an error code, there shouldn’t be a problem.

Yes, I ran sat setup many times, each time it was successful. When the setup was done the next screen said to activate the receiver.
goldw1800 is right, it's time to make that call that I was trying to avoid !
Thanks everyone for trying to help !

For anyone who is still monitoring this post, I did call DirecTV a few days ago. They reactivated my HR20, it is now working great.
When I called I got through right away, no waiting time on the phone.
I had read stories about people having to wait a very long time to talk to someone which is why I did not call sooner.
So for anyone who needs to call them maybe you will get lucky like I did.
You can always try calling at a different time or on a different day if they are busy. GOOD LUCK !

Great to hear. Hopefully that is a sign they are getting on track towards normal staffing levels. Call centers were one of the entities hit hardest by the pandemic.
On a future thinking note: As that HR20 is rather old, if it ever needs replacing and if they have finally run out of regular HDDVRs (HR24 was the last and hasn't been made in years), you may be looking at an upgrade. In that event, ask for a regular Genie (HR54), not the Genie-2 (HS17). The latter would require you replace all your boxes as doesn't allow regular HDDVRs.
