HR24-500 connect to King Onepro

Having trouble connecting receiver to dish. The dish automatically finds the satellite, but the receiver will not link to the dish. Verified coordinates and tried several different connections along with B band controller. Bypassed RV coax and hooked directly with no luck. Receiver worked fine at home. At a loss.

If the HR24 has been connected to a SWM system then you have to run sat setup and select multiswitch first then select 18" round but this setup will no longer work if DTV has removed the MPEG2 channels in the area you are in as the SD only dishes like that King One are now obsolete.

The King is MPEG-2/SD-only. DirecTV has been shutting down the MPEG-2 feeds, including removing the option for those setups in the boxes. So that outdated 18" round may not even be listed.

Going forward you need a slimline SWM dish on a tripod/sled mount, or the Winegard Trav'ler. Those are the RV options for now. Unfortunately some of those sellers are still offering old dishes/domes until the shutdown is 100% complete.

AFAIK DTV hasn't removed the round dish from the old HR24 software.
