Internet Issues

I have two receivers and a Genie 2.  The Genie is hardwired into the internet router.  The other two units are connected to the internet and when running a test, they show connected.

We recently moved, and I went to the Direct TV Web site to recover movies I had purchased.  The Direct TV Web site says, your devices are :"Not Connected to Internet" on all three devices.  I have refreshed, restarted my internet which is also A T & T and checked the devices and they are connected.  So, I cant use the Direct TV web site to recover old purchases or schedule recordings.

I chatted with Direct TV Tech Support.  After 1 hour, they stated they would have to send a technician.

Anyone have any ideas so I can avoid the service call?  The system was just installed one week ago.

Thanks to all,

George

I have two receivers and a Genie 2.

Please clarify model numbers. The Genie-2 (HS17) forbids receivers, only allowing clients.

Whether you have a box of the regular Genie line, or the Genie-2, that serves as the internet connection for your entire setup.

Unfortunately, website is often wrong about setup being internet connected. If you've already refreshsed ( www.directv.com/refresh ) then I would try a red button reset on the main Genie. If needed you can also unplug power for a minute or two to clear cached memory. Though be aware that full power cycle dumps the guide data, which should be loaded in again within 24-48hrs.
