Local channels pixelate
Three of my local channels pixelate intermittently in the Los Angeles area. Sometimes approximately every ten seconds, sometimes every few minutes. My dish has been relocated, the whole dish and LNB have been replaced, all cables and splitters have been replaced, equipment upgraded to Genie 2 with two minis, all HDMI cables replaced, surge protector also replaced. Still the problem persists. Signal strength is good and weather is clear. Started approximately two months ago. Any ideas out there?

I think I would do the internal speed test first. It's in the menus.
That should show the connection between the Genie 2 and the mini I believe.

The problem was the same with an old Genie 1 system. Same problem now with Genie 2.

I'd still start at the beginning when debugging...

If you've already replaced all your equipment as well as LNB and cabling, I'd say that this pixelation is a fault from the local channels that send their content to DIRECTV. You should complain to them individually as well.
DIRECTV SATELLITE support: 1(800)531-5000
DIRECTV STREAM support: 1(888)429-4023
DIRECTV for BUSINESS support: 1(800)388-2505
DIRECTV DEALER/INSTALLER support ONLY: 1(800)323-1994
For common errors, hit that RED reset button!

5, 9, 13. 5 is KTLA (CW), 9 is KCAL, and 13 is one of the local Fox affiliates.

I got a lot of stalls when first installed, fixed by connecting to my home network, but these were stalls and related pixellation. Are you getting stalls?
Won't suggest anything else, I gave you my other suggestion already.

I don't have any pixelate on those channels so doubt it is a signal problem from the station

Nope, not near an airport. Dish pointed over the top of trees that are approx 50 feet away. Possible partial obstruction? Could that affect only three channels?

You can try dishpointer.com to see if the trees maybe the cause, select multi LNB then DTV SL3. The local channels are on a spot beam so check the 99s/103s signals.

One clue here.
The channels you are having problems with, channels 2,4,5,7 plus11, are the national channels coming from a different satellite - still at 101 but satellite d16 instead of d9s. We know from other posts these transponders are working OK so it has to be your system.
Check all the transponder strengths in the 101 satellite slot. In particular look at TPs 27 and 29. This where the problem channels are coming from. What are the signal strengths? What signals do you see from the other transponders? Do 27 and 29 fluctuate when it is windy?

Channel 9 is a CBS channel 2 sister station and doesn't carry CBS programing and CBS channel 2 carries channel 9 news in its 5,6,11pm time slot.
