Lost Internet Connection
I have whole house dvr. Just switched from cable to dsl & I've lost my internet connection. The DECA had been connected to my Linksys WRT160N wireless router. I now have a 2wire 2701hg-b modem. I had some install issued getting my wireless connection to work with the new modem & original router. Couldn't get our itouch to connect. Not sure how I resolved it other than I kept trying different configurations & everything finally clicked.
I'm not sure my router is working at all, I had to change the network my iTouch uses & had to connect my bluray directly to the modem (it had been connected to the router) to get that internet connection to work. I've tried connecting the DECA to both the router & the modem & neither works. I currently have it connected to the modem & when I run the connection test I get code 71-73-384.
Need some assistance getting the internet connection back.

the DECA BB relies on DHCP for proper configuration. and I am afraid that your modem may lack a DHCP server. you need to call your ISP to help you set up your router with your 2 wire modem. once you get the router working do a reset to the DTV system as follow:
Disconnect AC power from each DVR and Receiver
Disconnect power from the DECA Broadband Adapter (black DECA box)
Disconnect power from the SWM dish Power Inserter (do you know where yours is located)?
Reset your home network gateway/router
Wait a few minutes for the router to reset
Repower the SWM Power Inserter
Repower the DECA Broadband Adapter
Repower each DVR and Receiver
menu => set up => system set up => network set up => restore defaults => connect now. you should get a message that you are connected to the internet. if so, go away for 24 hrs. then try to download a concert from the 1239

Note that if you connect a router to a 2Wire combination modem, you MUST enter the 2Wire's setup and disable DHCP auto configuration (the default is on). Then enter the router setup and confirm the DHCP is set to on (again the default). If both are left on, chaos will result. If you do these setting changes, then running the reset Peds48 recommends will almost surely get you going nicely.

DHCP Server is enabled
modem Broadband connection enabled
Connection type PPoE
Is there more I need to share?

I don't see anything about disabling DHCP. Would it be something else? The only two things I can enable/disable are ATM PVC Search & Broadband connection. Both are enabled. The only place I see DHCP is under connection type which is set to PPPoE.
