Are you having touble using your Autotune? As that is a feature of non-DVRs, it sounds like you are asking if there is a way to use a feature that your box has.
Now if that were an HR24, then it doesn't have Autotune as it has DVR instead.
OK thanks, Sorry typo, it is a HR24. No Autotune problem. I was just hoping I had missed it and there was some other way to program the HR24 it so that it switched to a program the same way the H24-100 does.
Your HR24 does not have Autotune since it is a DVR.
If you have a recording already going and a 2nd one starts, since it has 2 tuners then the one not recording will change channels of course to the one it needs. If you are watching TV it will give a warning in case you decide not to record and stay on the current channel.
But just to change channels, you do that with the remote.

Yes, you set it to record and it will change the unused tuner to it when it starts.
