Minis not working properly on several TV's, keep going out and continuously are searching for signal, but Genie is working fine?

I have 4 Minis and 1 Genie.  The Genie works fine and was just replaced with a new one to rule out the problem.  The signal to the mini's is intermittent, in other words the signal shows up for a minute or so and then it goes into search mode (error 622).  This is happening on all TV's connected to Mini's.  We've done reset after reset and the problem is still happening.  Not sure what else to do now.  Any thoughts?

HEY if your using a Deca Connected to your INTERNET Router or switch --Remove it and Just Connect a Straight Lan Cable to your Router/Switch then to your GENIE LAN port.

That will work much better

What model numbers?

Did it ever work properly?

Are the mini's wireless?  How far from the main Genie?

Are they wired or Wireless Mini's? IF wireless you may need to move the Genie Closer to the locations of the wireless mini's --IF your GENIE is a Tower that does not connect Direct to your TV --Then the "wireless Bridge" that talks only to your mini's is internal to the GENIE --That why it would need to be relocated.

Not sure if the minis are wifi or require wifi?  Model number is C61-580, mfg. 08/29/2016.  Mini's are all connected to coax from splitter, that's all.

They are wired if they have a RG6 going to the splitter --When they changed the Genie --Perhaps your (swim) Splitter should have replaced as that would be the only issue for a missing signal from the Genie

Check to make sure the RG6 Connections are tight -at both locations

When did they replace your Genie? Did a technician come to the swap? You might be still covered under that installation warranty.

Yes, tech replaced the Genie twice, as the problem persisted, just to rule out a new box issue.  Splitter was also replaced after second box was installed.  Several resets and downloads have been done..?

Time to request a more qualified tech to come fix this. It shouldn't be that hard.

How are th Rg6 Run to each location? is it thru a Wall Box outlet? in each room --if so you may want to take apart one room and inspect the connections --You may be using RG59 which can work but the connections have to spot on --As suggested you need to call again

All TV's were working fine for years and then suddenly started to act up to the point where they are now all off/on - waiting for receiver signal.  All the coax was installed during construction 10 yrs ago as straight runs, no wall plates.  Just took all mini's off line and had 1 unit running 1 TV with signal for about 30 minutes before going off line/video connection lost!  the guys that was here was their top tech, replaced all connections, including outside.  running out of options..?

The only difference I have right now is that my Wifi is down and only LAN is working, but these units are not supposed to be affected by Wifi, so...?

Try This Go to one of mini's --USE your remote --Menu -Search (TYPE) ClEARMYBOX- Then press search --search all --the Genie will reboot (NOTE) after which- it will take 24 to 48hours for the 14 day guide to populate and VOD to return.

See if that changes anything!

Clearmybox reloads the plugins --a REBOOT does not --Below is the "FIX" for the error code.

(622) =

Video connection lost between your receiver and the main Genie receiver. Check cabling, reboot main Genie DVR, then reboot client.

DTV doesn't use your network WiFi it sets up it own network WiFi that only the WVB and minis can use.  Wireless mini have a W in the model number like C61W.

@arcort

Do you have a regular Genie that goes on a TV itself (HR34, HR44, HR54/HR54R1) or the Genie-2 Headless Server tower that sits by itself (HS17)?

Connected by Coax is wired. Model would have W if wireless (such as C61W).

First box should have been replaced by drop ship, not tech. When that didn't fix the issue and warranted a service call to send a tech out, they should have been checking all the connections to get the correct fix.
