Mobile Unit SD-HD ?
I currently have a Winegard Road Trip T-4 dome type automatic -in motion satellite dish on my motor home. It’s SD compatible only. I am looking at Winegard SWM-D30 Multi-Switch Kits which purport to make HD receivers such as H24 useable with this type dish. Does anyone have knowledge/experience with this setup?

Winegard T-4 only provides SD/MPEG-2 for DirecTV so is obsolete. DirecTV is shutting down their MPEG-2 feeds, so that dish must be replaced. Currently you would need a slimline SWM dish on a tripod/sled mount or the Winegard Trav'ler (DirecTV version).

As shown, that T-4 does not support DirecTV's broadcasts going forward. This is common for many existing RV setups. It is either update the RV install or go without DirecTV in it.

Juniper-thanks for your response. So do the “multi switch” kits do anything to address the “obsolescence” of T-4?

Unfortunately, nothing addresses the outdated domes/dishes. The issue is not being able to connect a newer box to them, but they are not built for DirecTV's MPEG-4/HD feeds.
Getting a current dish option as mentioned would be how you have DirecTV going forward in the RV. Though remember even if you update the setup, you will not get locals once outside your home's spot beam. A regular antenna on your TV to get whatever is in range would help on that end. Just a note so you are fully prepared for your final decision.

Juniper, DIRECTVhelp
Thank you both-I am happy with my current setup including one of my original D10 receivers, over the air antenna and cable capability. I have the T4 because my wife likes the in motion feature.🙂 I have been a DIRECTV customer since 2003 and don’t want to change, but if the SD signal ceases to be, my only option is one of the Winegard Trav’lers. Then I have to worry about forgetting to lower it. 😐None of the “carry outs” (Winegard or King) support HD DIRECTV.
I see that the H24 receiver will work with the T4-would there be any advantage -current or future-for me to obtain one of these?

If Solid Signal can adapt your H24 to the T4 that will be just a stop gap. SD-only service was grandfathered in late 2015 in preparation of the shutdown. So both the T4 and D10 will need replacing in the foreseeable future. Many areas already have the shutdown so traveling in the RV with T4 may be hit and miss.
