moving to a condo where satellites are not allowed

we are moving to a condo where satellite dishes are not allowed - what do I need to do at my old residence to have the dish removed, etc.?  what do we need to do to begin using the DirecTV's streaming service?

I'll just make the comment that the condo is not allowed to ban directv, under FCC rules. However unless you have a suitable area under your direct control (like a balcony) it's a messy subject.

You need to cancel service at your old residence. Make sure you know what has to be returned to directv. The dish is your property and directv won't remove it. You will be liable for any early return fees, and you will pay until the end of your current billing cycle (no prorated charges).

Streaming is a different service, entirely separate from direct TV (wish they had used a different name, it's very confusing). Just sign up for it as a brand new customer on the directv web site (HINT: Use a completely different login for stream, sometimes the system gets confused if you have been a directv satellite customer)
