New Access Card for Marine use

I have a New Receiver H-25 that required an access card. I am having issues getting that card from Direct TV. They have no idea how the Marine side of Direct TV works. They Want to sell me another unit but when they hear it will be on a Yacht they are reluctant to sell me one since it is not at a fixed location. All KVH / Direct TV receivers must be personally owned. Hence, when I received a Receiver that I purchased it has NO ACCESS CARD. I was told for $20.00 Direct TV wild supply me one. NO THE CASE. Where do I go to acquire a card?

This is really a KVH issue not Directv.  Directv does not handle marine installations, and they won't activate any receiver that does not come from them.

Where did you get that H25?

The H25 is not personally owned. DirecTV did away with purchase to own options back when they launched the 1st Genie and removed the option for earlier boxes shortly after that. Going forward it is lease only which means the box activated will come with a 24 month service agreement regardless if you got it through DirecTV or a 3rd party retailer.

Hope you have a SWM setup on that ship with a current MPEG-4 receiving dish otherwise you can't use it going forward. The H25 is the first non-Genie to be SWM only so cannot use the older cabling setup. Also DirecTV started shutting down the old MPEG-2 (SD only) feeds beginning April 2019 and unless recently installed, many ship or RV setups tend to be the older setup.
