New genie remote
My old remote got damaged beyond repair so had to purchase a new one. The replacement looks identical but I can’t get it to sync with my TV. This one will not let me input tv code directly, it only does the auto TV detect, (mute-enter) but it will not pick it up. Looked everywhere to find way to enter tv code, can’t find. Thank you.

What is the receivermodel and remote model? Remote model is available on the top left of the remote and begins with RC

The new remote is RC73, its for my genie in bedroom, do you want main receiver model in living room or genie ? The remote seems to run genie but can’t get it to do volume, power on tv. Thank you.

I agree with that but it wont let me, my last remote let me manually input TV, this one only does the scan thing, from remote setup menu, has me push mute and enter but nothing happens, it just times out.

@RQJ You have a Genie in the living room and mini clients it the bedrooms and that is the model number we need.

The RC73 should be able to find a code for your TV. You say that the In RF mode screen doesn't come up when pressing and holding both the mute/enter buttons?

I found I needed to be in RF mode on my RC73 to get the "setup" menu to work

I tried everything, I remember programming my other remote and the auto detection, doing mute-enter didn’t work but gave me option to program the code for tv, worked fine, this one doesn’t give me that option. In settings I keep switching it to RF because genie box is behind tv, I even pointed remote directly at box, still nothing. So, currently I can change tuner, access DVR, but need to use tv remote to control volume. Very strange.

Try doing a red button reset starting with the HR44 then the C41.

Assumed big button in middle is enter, thats what I use, don’t see a button “enter”
