Tech will install RG6 coax solid copper core, or use pre-existing coax if able. As a note, DirecTV will not operate on the coax of another service provider concurrently (such as internet from a cable company).
As a note dish placement will be where the tech can safely reach it. They do not leave the ladder to step on roofs anymore, in order to comply with updated OSHA regulations.
