New modem, no WiFi…..

I have a new modem. I’m trying to connect my HD DVR receiver (HR24-200) to the internet via Wifi.  I go to setup.  It only shows Reconnect & Advance Setup.  On Reconnect it asks if all other devices use the same router.  They do just fine.  It shows no networks at all, it is asking whether I have a Cinema Connection Kit.  I don't.  I never have.  I know this is an older model but I had access before I switched modems.
what am I missing?

When I check the "My Equipment" section of my DirecTV account online, it is does not show the receiver being connected to the internet.

The HR24 doesn't have WiFi built in so it needs a CCKW external antenna to do that.  Since it was connected to the internet before it seems like DTV may have installed a CCK which is a device connected to your router/gateway with an Ethernet cable then coax is run to the SWM splitter or you can directly connect the HR24 with an Ethernet cable provided that it is not using Whole Home.  If you have a Genie then it will supply the internet to the HR24.

The HR24 Connects to internet only over the Rg6 -it will ever connect to Wi-Fi. if you have anything connected to the Net port (on the rear of the Hdvr) remove it and the red button reset. -it should then connect to  your local internet.
