No satellite signal / error 771 on all of my boxes.

Sitting here looking at direct tv and all the boxes go out showing no satellite signal. All 4 boxes at the same time. What could cause this?

Most likely your dish needs to be aligned, there are videos on youtube if you want to try it yourself otherwise you have to call DTV 1-800-531-5000 to setup a tech visit.

How's your weather? Heavy rain/snow can cause.

Snow/ ice build up on the dish may cause that. Also if the dish has been moved or damaged or an obstruction is in front of the dish.  Sometimes a bad coax cable connection may also create a 771.

The only reason I wouldn’t exactly say the coaxial cable is the culprit for 771 is because the OP likely has a SWM system and when the receiver has no access to the SWM LNB, it shows error 775. Thus, the odds of 771 showing up for an issue with the coax line is very slim.
