Just received today.  Activated fine on mobile device.  Will not work on PC - PC is brand new and has all needed requirements.  Help!

Need more details.  How do you know it's not activating on your PC?  What are the exact on-screen messages?  What are the exact steps you're following?  Is this PC connected to the same home network as your Nomad?  How?

Downloaded the software from the Directv website.  Installed and when it gets to the activate screen I get a message that others seem to be getting - that one or more system requirements are missing and an error messsage with a "2010" in it - I am at work now and can't see the actual screen.  PC is connected to the same home network via direct ethernet to same router that nomad is plugged in to.  Running Windows 7; computer is less than a month old (brand new HP).

Error message is:

4-2010-1 - You are missing one or more system requirements to activate your Nomad.  Please refer to the Quickstart Guide etc for more information.

That error message has reared it's ugly head and the engineers are working to determine what it means and a viable resolution.  Stay tuned, they are hard at it.

Ok.  Thanks.  I see from dbstalk.com that one guy ran the install as Administrator and had good luck.  Not sure that would fix, but will try that later today and post results.

Solution found in other thread similar to this one, resetting IE to default settings somehow clears this up.

Ran as Administrator, took 2 seconds and worked like a charm!

Just heard from engineering.  They believe they have corrected the 4-2010-1 problem and ask that anyone receiving that fault message download the PC application and try it again.  They also advise that the IE cure was coincidental in timing and IE was not actually involved.
