old dish

Have old dish have one tv that is hdtv and the other 2 are regular tv. What do I need to get hdtv to the one tv and keep the other tv working without hdtv

what model of receiver do you have. look for the model number inside the access card door.  you at least would need DirecTV's slimline dish to be able to get the HD channels.

You will need to order at lease 1 HD recevier and on the upgrade Directv will install the Slimline dish. DIY installations are not all that it is put out to be. When it comes to the new technology that Directv is offering you are better off gettiing a professional installation.

Note that the new HD dish is backwards compatible to your older SD receivers and TV's.
