? on setting up a new HD TV

Hi All, We were able to get a great 52" HD rear projection tv recently for $50! Awesome! The guy also gave us the HDMI cable for free ... so I plugged it into the HD DVR that we have and then the other end into the TV's jack ... ? -- do we still need to connect the RCA (red, white, yellow) composite to both? I tried unhooking it and lost the picture and sound? Also, it's to be a 720p resolution ... but only seems to be in 480?

That's a widescreen HDTV, so the proper format is "widescreen".

isn't he a cutie 😉 he's my souvenir from our TN trip this past late November for our 21st wedding anniversary/his 50th birthday (august) and my birthday in October ... and no I'm not saying how old ... he's from the Dixie Stampede ... it is an AWESOME place ... just be sure and go HUNGRY 😉

Yep, I thought $50 was more than fair 🙂 after we got stiffed with a "freebie" that needs the coolant's replaced and that's not cheap ... 😞

isn't he cute ... he's my souvenir from our trip this past fall to Tennessee and the Dixie Stampede dinner/theatre ... which was AWESOME ... just go VERY hungry! You get a WHOLE chicken to yourself plus other goodies to eat with your HANDS while you watch the show! Thanks for NOT noticing or least not saying anything about the awful wallpaper! It's gotta go ... soon! 😉 Am I right to have two (I think it was a red and white) plugged in for audio along with using the HDMI?
