Pairing Direct tv remote with Amazon Fire tv.

Well, DIRECTV shouldn’t have it. Amazon Fire TV is NOT the name of the TV, it’s just the OS that the TV runs. You have to look for the actual brand/model of the TV and choose that as the brand in Remote Setup of the DIRECTV receiver. What’s your receiver model and TV brand?

Also, TLC is not a TV brand. It is a live TV channel. You must have a ‘TCL’ brand TV.

I was ready to take tv back. I am not changing anything since it is working with D Tv remote. I don’t know brand. Looked very where on box.

Knowing what brand of TV you got should be fairly easy to check, just like what brand of car did you buy. The box should list a model number which should help sort out what it is.
