Protection Plan
A storm killed my DIRECTV receiver and my 70 Inch TV that was connected to it.
I pay for the protection plan, does it cover my TV also ?

You dont need to register anything prior to making a claim, they will allow you to do so when calling in.

The basic $9 plan only covers DTV equipment but there are more expensive plans that does cover TVs and other devices but I think none of them covers lighting strikes. I believe your home owner insurance will cover the damage.
