Rc73 remote will no longer power on or off Samsung tv.
My rc73 remote stopped turning the Samsung tv on or off a week or so ago and it has worked for 5 years fine. Called DIRECTV and they sent me a new remote for $25 and after setting up the new remote… it will not turn the tv on or off. The volume is set to my stereo system. Help! I have done everything and tried every code. Direct tv said I am out of luck and to buy another $4000 tv.

No problem at all. I just wanted to confirm they weren’t wasting your time by sending over a box that you aren’t having any issues with currently. (The other HR24 in your secondary room)

The only way the HR54 could be a problem is if is emitting some kind of IR interference. Does it work when the HR54 is unplugged?

Nope. Doesn’t work when the hr24 is unplugged. I am able to program that remote to the wireless genie and Samsung tv and it works perfectly. Just won’t work when paired with the hr24. It’s odd
