Reboots
I know my Hd dvr has taken a long time to reboot after any interruption. It actually just did and this one in my living room took 17 minutes. That can’t be right huh!?!?

I've not timed my reboots very closely, but it seems like mine take about that long total start to finish. Seems like forever doesn't it? I usually go do something else after I start one.

My reboots are mostly caused by un-pausing from the AT&T ads that now appear when you pause. The first key press gets you back to the paused program picture, but if you make the second press to activate the program too quickly, then the DVR crashes and you need to reboot. (Edited per community guidelines).

The reboots are a known issue, I believe it's fixed in the latest test release .
which means you should be getting it soon.
Are you using the red button to reboot? I just tried my HR54 and it took just over 7 minutes to reboot.

It does that no matter what causes the reboot. This time was an electricity flicker. It’s an HR22-100

All my wires are tight. As if the other boxes, I haven’t timed them. I know the one in my bedroom takes a long time too. The genie I have in another room hasn’t been timed either. Nobody is usually in that room, it’s a guest bedroom.

You should use a UPS to power your main DVR and the power inserter. At least then power flickers would not cause the problem.

That test release to fix the reboot issues, is that only for the new GUI software (so HR44 and up?). Making sure as OP has an earlier regular HDDVR, the HR22 (at least got the bigger hard drive compare to earlier models).

@ Texas Brit 3 months ago. Sorry I’m so late. Yes I use the red button to reset if cycling it on and off won’t work....that’s the only way.
My unit is the HR54R1/700. Last software was 0x153c onJune 9 this year, and I don’t recall having to reset for a blank screen since about that time so maybe that was a fix. I continues to react slowly (2 seconds) to occasional commands however. Makes me wonder what may happen next.

@foolzrushn
Looks like you accidently had a space in the username so it didn't mention him. I'll include it for you in case he is no longer subscribed to this thread.
@TexasBrit do you have any follow up?
