Reciever/box

I am wondering if the age of the reciever/box can be why we are having some issues sometimes. I ask because it's not in the budget to have someone to check the satellite dish.

Thank you for your help and patience. Have a wonderful weekend.

There are videos on youtube about aligning the dish if you are getting the 771 no satellite signal.

Unless you have SD only receivers that are now obsolete then the age generally doesn't matter except if the hard drive is failing.

DTV has a protection plan that covers service calls for $ 8.00 per month but you may have to wait a month to get service if you get it.

@Grumpy1979

If you would please provide some details perhaps we could help resolve the issue, or determine if perhaps just a warranty replacement of the box is needed ($19.95 delivery) as opposed to a full service call ($99). There is the optional equipment protection plan ($8.99 monthly), but in the long run the one-time costs are cheaper as you don't use them that often.

What are the problems you are experiencing? (symptoms, error messages, etc.)

What are the models of each box you have?

What troubleshooting have you tried already?
