Remote Programming
We have TCL TV's and their system is Roku. My Directv remote turns on my TV and on the Roku system on and it goes right to programming. I don't have to use Roku remote to select Satellite. On our newest TCL, I can't find out how to program the Genie remote to automatically go right to programs on TV. It is a pain for my (older) folks to use the Roku remote to switch from HOME screen to Satellite or Streaming channels.
Can someone please help?
Thank you!

Home > Settings > System > Power > Power on > Last used input. Be sure it is checked, not just highlighted. Or you can set a particular input.

Sure. All you’ll need to do is go into the Roku Settings for the newer TCL TV and make it turn on automatically to the HDMI input for the DIRECTV receiver. Here is a detailed guide online: https://www.dignited.com/82810/connect-to-hdmi-input-roku-tv-turns-on/amp/

First guess is that you need to switch HDMI control on the TV to "on". If that does not work, then most TVs have a setting which you can program to go to a specific input when the TV is switched on. It's somewhere deep in the menus but you will probably have to read carefully the TV manual to find it.
Who set up the original TV?

Thank you everyone! The easiest one from Good4U worked. We had the Roku Power on just opening to Home. Now its programmed to open in Satelitte Mode for Directv.
