Removing Dish and wiring

Right. DirecTV won't touch it. It's part of your house. If you didn't give the tenants permission then you should withhold the removal costs from their security deposit. 

So you are saying that even though we, the owners, did not authorize this system, we are stuck with it? We have to hire someone to go through, find all the wires, and remove everything? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. What kind of company doesn't want their equipment back? Such a waste.

The dish and all the wiring becomes the property of whoever ordered it. If your tenant had anything installed that you didn’t approve of, that’s totally between you and that tenant. Whether you now own it as the house owner or the tenant owns it is between you and your former tenant. Bottom line, Directv does not remove it.

Yes, that's how it works. Dish and wiring are part of the house and stay with the owner. If your tenants didn't get your authorization for this installation, that's between you and them. Clearly, they never should have been allowed to install this stuff. But how would DirecTV know that when the tenants authorized the installation?

Bottom line your tenants gave DTV permission to install their system so it is up to the tenants to remove it.

The tenant signed off with install DirecTV that they had all needed permissions. As such, DirecTV bears no responsibility. Since upon install, everything but the client/receiver boxes is customer owned (dish, cabling, etc.) they have never had an option to uninstall.

Having wiring and dish already there makes it easier for someone to start DirecTV, Move with existing service, or even reinstate an old account. So it is more valuable for the company to leave it there. Plus there is no worry about damage from the removal itself.

Bottom line, your dispute is with the former tenent, not DirecTV.

You're very welcome. It is suggested when removing the dish to leave the mounting plate to prevent leaks.

Why do you need to remove it? 

I agree with TexasBrit why remove it I would leave it up to incase another tenant wants Directv.

The Dish and wiring is your property once installed. Direct TV has no fault in this. Hire a contractor / home maintenance worker to uninstall and patch any holes. Bill your former tenant to pay for cost it will cost you to have to pay somebody to remove everything.
