Replacing d010 receiver
I just bought a camp (seasonal home) with a slimline hd dish, I brought a d010 reciever from my old camp which had a round dish. The d010 does not want to connect to the new dish, how can i get a new reciever like a h24 to replace it? Does DTV have them?

The D10 is very obsolete. It is MPEG-2 only and cannot work at all with SWM systems. The only MPEG-2 non-DVR receiver to work with SWM systems was the D12. But as DirecTV has been shutting down the outdated MPEG-2, equipment (like the old round dish) must be replaced.
H24s are either out of stock or close to it. The last HD non-DVR made was the H25, which is the only non-Genie model to be SWM-only. Depending on the entire account setup, you might have to acquire through a 3rd party (such as Solid Signal). Though there have been issues with accounts activating boxes from those authorized retailers since the migration to the new account system.
What are the models of every box you have? Are they all used at home as well as your seasonal, or are any (like the D10) exclusive for the seasonal place?
The physical service address determines locals provided, permitted in-market sports, and the taxes you are required to pay. They are cracking down on those with a 2nd/seasonal place on the same account because with both places active at the same time it violates the Terms of Service, Federal regulations, and taxes. So now the way to avoid this problem (even for those doing it unintentionally), both addresses are supposed to have their own account. Then you just suspend one and reactivate the other as needed (suspend is max 6 months within 12 month period).

My house is all genie, the d010 is the only box at camp. When I bought the new place it had the swm3 dish and I just assumed the d010 box would work otherwise would have brought the dish. It was working at the old place. So.should I buy a new 18" round dish or try solid signal for a h25?

I wouldn't bother buying a new 18" dish at all since it's only capable of mpeg2 which is going away very soon instead o would get an h24 or 25

Do not buy an 18" round. As mentioned the MPEG-2 feed it receives is shutting down. So it would be a waste of money.
You have a couple choices.
1. Pay the one-time lease cost through authorized retailer (i.e. Solid Signal) for a box. That would be HD non-DVR (i.e. H24, H25) for $99, or HDDVR (i.e. HR24) for $199. There may be difficulty in activating the box through DirecTV with the change in systems. If agent cannot get box activated, request transfer to Access Card Distribution Team (ACDT), or whatever the name is now, to verify legitimate box and push through activation.
2. Order upgrade through DirecTV (especially if you qualify for a free one). Have box installed at home. After that you can take to your seasonal location back and forth as you desire.
Both options will come with a 24 month service agreement since equipment is leased (as they went to lease only upon launch of the 1st model Genie, HR34).
I would consider for any future upgrades, to replace Mini Genie Clients in the home with HDDVRs. There is no difference in monthly cost, but you get more reliability and capability as boxes work independently and have 2 tuners and 500GB recording space each.

You're welcome. Hopefully one of those two options works for you to get your camp up and running.
Just make sure to never "upgrade" to the Genie-2 (HS17). That only allows clients, forbidding dedicated receivers, making it a very restrictive system.
