Return defective receiver
I had to get a new receiver and everything was fine until I tried to return the old one. I took it to the fed ex place like it said and they said they couldn’t send it, I showed them the instructions even on what to do . I called Direct tv back and the first person I talked to said he would send me a return slip but it has been a week and got an email saying if I don’t get the old one back I will be charged, I tried to call Direct back and they said let me tell you what to do , I told her I already tried that and went to 4 different places and all said they couldn’t send it without a shipping label, one place said I would have to go to Texarkana which is another hour away, so after explaining all that she just says the exact same thing and was pretty rude about it this time. I just want to know how to send this back without having to drive another hour. Thanks

Must be a full FedEx or UPS store, not just a shipping center. If over 10 miles away from a participating shipper is when they use the old method of shipping you a prepaid return kit.
However the emails tend to be general info and too many agents don't bother to look up the returnable list.
What model is the box?

If it's an old HR34 Genie DVR model, it does not need to be returned.

Glad they got it sorted out. Yes the HR44 is the earliest model that is returnable. Hope this return kit is the end of the situation for you, good luck.
