returning my direct tv receiver and wireless video bridge
I received a letter stating I needed to return my receiver after cancelling my Directtv. The problem is the serial number in the letter is different than the one on my receiver. I wondering if you want the receiver or the wireless bridge because it really didn't say what equipment to send. Both, maybe? The serial number on the letter is [EDITED] Model # C61W-700. My serial number is [EDITED] MFG. 10/19/15, Model HR44-200. I really do not need any of the equipment so if you will tell me what you need me to do I would be more than happy to send it all back Thank you

You own the WVB(Wireless Video Bridge) so you can recycle it.
The HR44 appears to have been made nonreturnable but UPS/FedEX may still take it, if they don't take it then remove the access card and hang on to it in case DTV sends an envelope for it within a month or so and you can recycle the HR44, the C61W is the only one that is defiantly returnable.

The WVB is an owned accessory so is not returnable.
C61W is a Client, not a receiver, but is returnable.
Though it seems only the 3rd generation Genie (HR54) receiver and newer are returnable, the HR44 is still a good model. I would try returning it as well to be on the safe side. Keep receipt showing the shipper took possession of the equipment.
