Rv box replacement
I have had an SD direct box in my RV for years. I recently received notification that I needed to upgrade to an HD box. I use a King Quest VQ 4800 portable dish. The description for this dish says…KING Quest Pro is fully automatic and works right out of the box with a compatible DIRECTV receiver for SD programming. The KING Quest Pro supports multiple TV viewing, so you can stay current on more than one show or live event. SWM adapter required for SWM-only receivers.’
Is there any replacement boxes that will work with this dish?

Any H/HR will work however DTV is no longer making them and there are posts here that DTV may not be activating them either. You can't even use a Genie with that dish as DTV removed the 18" round dish from the setup menu and since that dish doesn't get the HD sats they send a 771 error code so the only dish that works with them is a SWM slimline dish on a tripod/sled mount or the Wineguard Travler or the KVH HD11

Replace King Quest with slimline SWM dish on a tripod/sled mount or the Winegard Trav'ler. Then get an H or HR box (unless perhaps you have the old special R22).
Updates in the RV will be at your own cost. Anything for the home (your service address) is normally covered by their complimentary MPEG swap.
To be sure, what are the models of every box you have and which one is in the RV?
