DTV is shutting down the MPEG2 channels rendering both of them obsolete. All non SWM receivers output 13v or 18v depending on if it needs the odd or even transponders.

The D12 is the last MPEG-2/SD-only non-DVR DirecTV made. DirecTV has been in the process of shutting down those outdated feeds. Sorry but your D12 needs replacing.
Going forward you need MPEG-4 equipment. The receiving dish for RV or other mobile option needs to be a slimline SWM dish on a tripod/sled mount or the Winegard Trav'ler.
You can call DirecTV for their complimentary MPEG swap program (do not say "upgrade" or you get the option with the 24 month service agreement as not the required swap to continue using the service). Only what is installed in the home is part of the swap, so the setup with the t4 you must replace at your own cost and effort.
To be sure they don't replace more than what is needed, what are the models of every box you have?

You're welcome. Sorry that they weren't the answers you were probably hoping for.
Whether required MEPG swap or optional upgrade chosen, make sure to read the order confirmation thoroughly so that you have no surprises and verify all is as expected.
