signal problems

Last week weekend we had signal problems with our transponders having 0s in for the even numbers. Friday we finally got a technician here and he found a bad cable and replaced it, seeming to fix the problem. Until today now we have no signal again and our transponders have 0s on all of the odd numbers--both tuners. Any ideas for a self fix? or do we have to wait a week for a tech again? please no...

This usually a symptom of a loose or defective coax cable connector at your dish, ground block or multiswitch.  If you can easily reach them, you can check those connectors.  Otherwise best to get another service tech out.

thanks for the quick response...this gets aggravating. Just like anything else I guess: Its great when it works and a huge pain in the rear when it doesn't.
