Suggested Searches not working
The suggested search feature is whited out and can’t be selected. I’ve reset the guide and unplugged the receiver and let it sit before plugging it back in. I’m running 2 HR24/500 and it’s happening on both.

I think it started a couple of days ago when the storms and the power flashes happened

You unplugged power from both for a couple minutes? That should have cleared the cache if any bugs were caused by the flash during the storm. However, this does dump guide data. So it can take up to 48 hours for information from the satellite to repopulate as that all loads back in, though it sounds like it has been that long already. Double check the coax is finger tight to both just to be sure.
Are those the only two boxes you have? And are you having any other issues?

yes these are the only 2 boxes. i've check coax and did sat reset also.
