THR22 (DirecTiVo) Unit is Failing - What will they replace it with?

I have a THR22 DirecTiVo receiver that appears to be failing. When I call DirecTV technical support, the person on the other end of the line does not know what a TiVO box is and can't answer basic questions.

If I ask for a replacement box, what kind of equipment is DirecTV going to send me? Do they still offer TiVo boxes?

If your box is failing then they do a normal warranty replacement, That is $19.95 delivery, or covered if you are paying for the Equipment Protection Plan.

When you talk to the agent, just call it an HDDVR verifying model THR22. That was the last attempt DirecTV did with TiVO so a lot of new agents are not familiar with it. It would be replaced with another THR22 if any are still in stock. Otherwise an alternative might be a HR24 (if any are in stock) which should remove the TiVO specific charge from your monthly bill.

Is that your only box? If not, what are the models of any others you have? Just in case there are any other options you should be aware of.
