transfer service to new home requirements

Will I need the main Direct TV box to set up service in my new home.

I will not occupy the home for a week, after the install can I take the main box back to the home I'm in for the next week?

The boxes and TVs must be there for install. If it has been at least 12 months of active service since install (or last move) then standard order is expected free, otherwise $199. Will come with a 12 month agreement, or 24 months if you do an upgrade as well.

If same boxes then you should be able to take back to old home after install. Be aware that if homes are not in the same Designated Market Area (DMA), you may not have access to locals or Regional Sport Networks (RSNs) at the old address as the account would show authorized for the new one.

What are the models of each box you currently have?
