Using DECA - what should the network setup settings be?
I had an installer do the original install (sub-contractor). Lately I've been getting an issue where when one of my receivers (HR22/100s and HR24/500) is d/ling it will throw a "There was a problem connection to the Internet. Please test your connection." error, where network access stops. I have recently changed out my home router, and I'm not sure if the HRs should be getting an IP address from the router via the DECA or if they should be on a seperate static network IP configuration.
Thank you in advance.

Yes, condo building with shared services. Maintained by a sub-contractor/local broadband/internet/phone company.
How would I know if the feed is properly isolated?
They are a bit of a pain to work with, but we have a long term contract with them. The behavior is a strange on as perceived from my end. Shows/programing will begin to download no problem, then randomly I can see the traffic disappear from my router, sometimes if will just come back, sometimes while the traffic is stopped, I'll get the "problem with internet" dialog box, with the options of test, or continue and fix later.
I NEVER have any issues watching shows from one receiver that are recorded to another, which is nice. Queued shows eventually download, but there is def. an interruption. I don't see any of these interruptions on any other devices on my network (when streaming from NetFlix, large downloads to my PCs or Laptops).
Does the DECA Broadband adapter have an interface that I can check? Does it log or throw errors anywhere via SNMP or syslog, or anyhting else?

You'll need to contact whoever installed and maintains this equipment. There's no way for you to check anything yourself. But if anyone else on your SWM branch is using internet, it's likely to cause this sort of problem.

Steve, Just so you understand. The Whole Home sharing system travels over the coax cable, as does the Internet allowing downloads etc. Both use the Ethernet circuitry in the DVR's and receivers, plus the router of course. If another resident is connected to the Internet on your SWM branch, it's pretty easy to see this is going to cause a major conflict. Here is a schematic of a single resident install. Each SWM branch can handle up to eight tuners. If you and the neighbor connected to the same splitter but had two Internet connections you can see the problem.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I do understand the nature of the DECA coax network, I do have a single line coming into the condo, and then it hits a 4-way SWM in a small network "cubbie" also where my twisted pair for phone, and my network drop for internet enters the property.
Looks like I'll have to place a call into the company that owns the support and wiring contract for the building and see if they are properly configured on there end.

So here is the picture of the SWM splitter that is delivering the signals to/from the HR22s and HR24 and Deco Bb.
I have temp. switched the ports that the Deca Bb is on to see if it was on the farthest left most port which looks like the DC power pass through.
I've also put a call into the buildings contractor, but they have pretty much the WORST service and support, so I'm hoping it isn't an issue on their end.

Yep, that's a standard SWM splitter. But that doesn't really help you much. If your incoming coax from the building's dish isn't isolated from your neighbor's, then you're hosed. Only the company that knows how that portion of the cabling is done can help you.
