Vacation home error code 771
For several years I have been moving my Directv receiver from my main home to vacation home with no issues. A few weeks ago I lost signal. I thought that due to trees having leaves on now my signal might be blocked at vacation home. I moved the dish to where I cannot believe any leaves would be an issue. I cannot get signal higher than 21. There is about 75 feet of cable on it. I tried running a new cable with no improvement. I took the LNB home and signal is good from that also. The Lnb looks the same, single sl3 lnb, dish looks the same. The dish mount is level.Has something changed recently that I need to restore settings each time I move. The directv is only used at 1 location at a time

It's got to be something with the equipment at that location. You've verified that the LNB is good and replaced the coax cable. It could be a defective connector, or bent dish, or an issue with the DirecTV box. Hard to say.

Receiver model hr54-500. I cannot believe receiver could be an issue since we have no problems with it at our main house

The receiver may not be the issue itself, but anything unique about the box may narrow down where in the vacation home setup the problem is.
