Velocity was rebranded as MotorTrend back in November 2018.
If guide is not showing a listing for 281, then there are a couple things to check. First check your favorites list and make sure 281 is checked. Also go into Menu > Settings > Display > Preferences > Guide HD Channels and ensure it is set to Hide SD Duplicate (since it is an HD-only channel, no SD version).

281 is listed on my guide as MTHD are you sure you are not using a favorites list?
