Video but no sound on Whole-home dvr
I have a few programs recorded on my original dvr a hr21. My new dvr that is in the bedroom is a hr24. When trying to watch programs on the hr24 that were recorded on the hr21 i get video but no sound. I have sound for regular live tv. What can i do to fix this?

First thing to try is resetting both DVRs using the red button behind the front panel access card door.

well i turned the power on to the hr21 and the sound works now, weird i guess it doesnt work when you have the other dvr in off/standby

That shouldn't make a difference. They're never really "off", unless you're killing its AC power with a switched AC outlet.
