I gather from "Man died" you mean the DirecTV account owner? If so then yes a new account must be done, with one exception. The surviving spouse may take over the account, no new install needed.

Because of the pandemic they are short staffed on techs. This is like many other companies. This is not how they normally are. So your "never deal with this company every again" statement is not understanding that. If you need to go with another provider, that is up to you. But realize the world is not yet back to normal. Still a long way to go to fix up many of those issues. And your 15 years and never late on a payment makes no difference

That doesn't change scheduling options or the reality of short staffing.

I think by "Man" they meant the account owner. But I agree that was a very weird way to say it. Perhaps English is not their first language because that was a rough post.

The issue is you made a very confusing post. If you want help then you need to be clear about what the issue. Never tried to give an English lesson. The post was just so unclear that we were trying to make sense of it.

So if you want help, just be clear on the problem. If you didn't want help then why did you create an account and make this thread?
