What receiver works with the King One Pro satellte dish i

I want to purchase a King One Pro Satellite dish for my RV. I already have DTV service. Can I use the HD Receiver, Model H44-500, or my Genie Mini, Model C51-100 to get SD programming? I realize that HD is not supported.

DirecTV is phasing out SD channels on the 101º satellite. That's the only satellite that the dish can receive. Save your money. If you want a portable dish, look at the Winegard Trav'ler HD dish. Or a Slimline dish on a tripod.

To answer your other question no also, the H44 sat set up page doesn't have the 18" round dish to select so it will be searching for the HD channels and when it can't find any it will send the 771 error code.  Clients are boat anchors with out a Genie to connect to.

The Mini Genie cannot be used by itself as is a Client, not a receiver. Must always have your main Genie the H44 (Genie Lite). A dedicated receiver like H25 (non-DVR) is more flexible than a Client as only take the one box as the main Genie was designed to stay put. Plus a receiver has a dedicated tuner to work by itself.

As mentioned, you must have a slimline SWM dish on a tripod/sled mount, or the more expensive electronic aiming Winegard Trav'ler. The King only receives MPEG-2/SD-only feeds which have been shutting down for DirecTV.
