Which channels are on which satellites and transponders?
This should be a simple question, and yet no one seems to have any information what Direct TV Channels are coming what satellite. I am having issues with streaming pixelation, especially on high cost stations like HBO. I want to test my signal strength but need to know what channels use what satellites. You would think Direct TV could easily supply that information.
Help, I see that this has been posted before but no one seems to have this information.
Thanks

You can find that info here ....

But it doesn't really matter. Bottom line is that you want signal readings up in the high 80-90s on most of the 99 and 103º satellites. You can't really aim for one specific transponder on a given satellite.

You asked and we answered this same question three months ago. Your streaming pixelation issues have nothing to do with your satellite signals. Streaming is via your internet connection.

The reason I bring this issue up again is I recently added HBO back to my channel line up mainly so I could on demand stream. HBO streaming has pixelation making watching their programming difficult.
This had always been an issue so normally I never use Direct TV for any streaming content. They have issues.

Since you have an HBO subscription, you also have access to the HBO Max streaming app. What happens if you try streaming with the HBO Max app?

I did link the connection to stream using HBO Max on my Fire TV streamer, perfect audio, and picture. So that is good, but I could have just purchased HBO from HBO directly for that. However, I decided to order from Direct TV so I could stream from both Fire TV, and Satellite so I don't have to switch inputs while watching Direct TV. This once again showed that Direct TV has streaming pixelation issues.
I considered doing a sat signal measurement, but I have no idea what channels use what satellites and no one seems to have that information.

I posted a link to the site with the channel transponder mapping. Again, that has absolutely nothing to do with the streaming.

To repeat what litzdog is telling you. The satellite signals have nothing to do with any problems you might be having with streaming. All streaming comes via the internet,.
And not that it's at all relevant, but litzdog also posted a link to the spreadsheet which shows exactly which satellite and transponder delivers which channels. We posted this for you before but you seem to be completely ignoring what we tell you.
And again, the streaming signals do NOT come from the satellites.

I am not ignoring any thing. Pixelation problems exist with Direct TV streaming.
HBO comes from some Satellite, which one, separate question.
Other Direct TV customers that I know also have the issue.
Many have quit Direct TV to do streaming with other services and devices.

All DTV does is send you to the channel servers they don't have anything else to do with streaming.

No, HBO when streaming does not come from a directv satellite. It simply doesn't. Why do you not believe what we are telling you?

HBO channels, such as Ch 501, come from the satellite. But DirecTV OnDemand streaming of HBO is via internet, NOT the satellite. And if you really need to know which satellite/transponder delivers HBO, I already provided you a link to that info.

To add on, here’s really what will finally
make you ‘believe.’ While watching an HBO On-demand movie/show, remove the satellite coax. Your on-demand HBO content still plays. Now, do you understand?
