Which channels are on which satellites and transponders?
This should be a simple question, and yet no one seems to have any information what Direct TV Channels are coming what satellite. I am having issues with streaming pixelation, especially on high cost stations like HBO. I want to test my signal strength but need to know what channels use what satellites. You would think Direct TV could easily supply that information.
Help, I see that this has been posted before but no one seems to have this information.
Thanks

The internet also runs through the coax since the system is connected using Deca so if you disconnect the coax you disconnect both Satellite and Internet.
I understand streaming does not come from the Satellite.
However, since all my streaming devices never have pixel issues or buffer lag, I did reconfigure the HR44 internet connect to a wireless connection.
We will see how that works.
However with a 400 Mbps Ethernet connected download I should never have issues with log or buffers. What is amazing is Direct TV can not recognize when they have an issue, and when they do finally admit to it, they never solve it.
So with a wireless connection we will see if the pixelation goes away.
I did find it interesting that the HR44 was able to connect wireless finding all my networks. I was not aware the HR44 had a wireless receiver.

What you propose makes no sense. The internet connection is hardwired so if your disconnect the coax you disconnect both the internet and the Sat.

If your HR44 is connected to your home network via Ethernet cable or WiFi, then its internet access is NOT provided via the DECA coax network.

Let's try first the troubleshooting steps, you can find here.If the issue persists, meet me in a Direct Message to take a closer look on this, just need to check your DIRECTV Message Inbox (It's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums).

The coax actually coming from the dish only carries satellite signals.

Again DTV has nothing to do with streaming from the channel servers other then sending you to them so DTV doesn't have anything to fix. Wondering if this is a problem with DTV On Demand is sending the entire file in the resolution it was made in instead of the steaming services tailoring it to internet speed?

So I have miss communicated my internet connection. I am not connected Internet Ethernet to the Ethernet port on the HR44, but connected via the DECA coax connected to the HR44.
The DECA is connected Ethernet to the router connecting the internet through the coax to all my receivers.
Because I never have any streaming problems anywhere wireless I tried to connect the HR44 using the wireless. On the HR44 the wireless networks displayed and I was able to choose a network enter the password and it connected.
I thought I was internet connected wireless, but looking at the IP address on the HR44 it is the coax ip address not a wireless ip address. The router verifies that.
Is there a way to connect wireless to the HR44 bypassing the Deca connection so I just have a wireless ip internet connection?
The DECA coax network links all 6 of my receivers.
How do I remove the HR44.

You have to disconnect the DECA BB from the router then rerun network setup for wireless, the HR44 will send the internet to all the other DTV receivers but you already have the best internet connection wired.

If you want to try the removing the sat signal while watching On Demand then remove the coax on the SWM splitter that is connected to the single port mark in

HBO (501 - 509 and 511) comes from DirecTV's satellite. That is not streaming so the satellite signal strength would matter.
HBO On Demand (1501) comes from the channel's online library. You can stream it or download to play later. This has absolutely nothing to do with DirecTV satellite signal strength, even though you are getting it through your DirecTV equipment, as comes from the internet connection instead of the satellite.
So if streaming (On Demand), your satellite signal strength does not matter as that is not where the programming is comming from. It comes from internet instead. Hope that makes sense.

Not true. And, I’m not sure who you are responding to and why.
satellite 99 carries more national HD channels than 103, and they both have an equal amount of local channels. I find that satellite 103 carries the western version of channels ( I.e. TNTW or HBOW).

satmanjoe - you post is a) wrong and b) irrelevant since hbo streaming does not come from a satellite.
